Seven-string guitar with classic style shape, coloring and finish features:
Mahogany body, spalted maple top, flamed maple neck glued to top, 25.5″ tuning fork, ebony fingerboard with “Spartan helmet” nacre inlay at 12th fret, rectangular lateral maple inlays instead of classic dots.
The natural finish of the woods is intended to give maximum emphasis to the beauty of the top and all the woods that comprise it.
The choice was made to contrast the classic image of the instrument with the more energetic and powerful part of the sound given by the active pickups and the seven-string configuration.
The use of fossil amba varnish for the flamed maple neck gives the latter maximum evidence of marbling, elasticity of the varnish “couche,” and smoothness of the hand on the handle.
Andy McLeod, guitarist for the California band RECIPROCAL, has configured this instrument to suit his needs: the signature on the headstock make his guitar unique.
