Secret Weapon

Secret Weapon is one of two guitars we built for the metal band Five Ways To Nowhere.

The guitars are characterised by the colours adopted by the band: red and black.

In particular, this instrument has a ‘V-shape’ body whose wings have been hollowed out with CNC to create a ‘trellis’ effect into which the LEDs have been inserted.

Plexiglass covers in translucent red give the desired colour as well as the passage of LED light.

It was decided to complete the light set by inserting LEDs in the dots on the keyboard, with a separate circuit from the body.

The first fret is inlaid with a nacre ‘skull-logo’, one of the common details between the two instruments.

The EMG pickup at the bridge has a ‘dual-mode’ function, providing the instrument with an interesting variable even during rhythmic playing.

The headstock was fitted with Sperzel tuning machines with, in addition, the D-Tune system.

The scratch-resistant matt black paintwork of the entire body, headstock and back of the neck, matches the gloss of the red plates.

A very special instrument, designed in every detail to meet the needs of a band that is currently performing on the most prestigious stages in Europe.
