1 - Conditions of Sale

The configurator on the site is indicative of what can be achieved and at what price. Following the submission of the configuration form, you will be contacted to define all the details and compare us on the best solutions from a technical-economic point of view and define all the variables of the instrument. This comparison could generate an agreement and an “order to build” and a subsequent request for a down payment. The default option is a 50% down payment, but the price can be divided up to 4 parts during the construction period, with a 25% down payment. The down payment is used to purchase raw materials, accessories ( lumber and components ) and start the design, putting you in the “work queue.” Payment of the balance is the act by which the sale will be finalized and the transfer of ownership of the instrument will take place. If for any reason the customer is not able to complete his payments, all payments made during the construction period will be lost and the instrument will remain the property of Nadar Guitars, which can dispose of it as it sees fit, not least, disassemble it and recover some parts or utlize it for exhibitions, fairs or sell it or destroy it.

2 - Payments

Bank transfers or PayPal are accepted.
All bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the customer.
The accepted currency is “Euro”.
In the case of payment preference by PayPal, a 4% fee will be added to the invoice and a request for payment will be sent.
Manufacturing time is approximately 12 months from the time of down payment, however, for some instruments whose complexity is less, the time may be reduced.
Actual manufacturing time will be communicated upon payment of the down payment.

3 - Warranty

The instrument is covered by a 24-month warranty according to Italian law, about its perfect functioning according to proper and careful use. The warranty applies only to the instrument purchased directly from Nadar Guitars and not from third parties. The warranty on used instruments sold by Nadar Guitars has validity reduced to 3 months. Each Nadar Guitars instrument is built following design definition and design approval by the customer: this design approval is binding on both parties, subject to subsequent minor changes during construction, agreed upon in writing between the parties. Once the design is approved and the construction phase begins in the laboratory, it will no longer be possible to change almost all of its parameters. The electronic, mechanical, bridge, body, neck and fingerboard parts are covered by the warranty; it is guaranteed that the transparent polyurethane finish varnish is free of color variations ( yellowing ); the fossil amber varnish is subject to natural variations in color and intensity, which is a characteristic feature of oil-resin varnishes. Excluded from the warranty are any damages occurring on surfaces subject to normal use ( e.g.: scratches due to brush strokes, contact with belt buckles on the back, rubbing on the back of the neck, etc ) damages to the varnish and/or body-handle due to falls and/or similar impact, manipulation of the electrical circuit and, in general, any improper use of the instrument and its parts. Also excluded from warranty are:

  • Unauthorized repair services performed by any repairman/luthier/technician unless you have approved their work in advance.
  • Any repairs made by the buyer or a “cousin.”
  • Any alteration of any kind made by the customer or by a repairman / luthier / technician or “good cousin.”
  • Instrument in which the serial number has been changed, removed or altered;
  • Any instrument not purchased directly from Nadar Guitars or an authorized dealer.
  • “Subjective preferences” involving subjective personal tastes or judgments related to aesthetic taste or tonal qualities of the instrument, if the instrument conforms to the approved design;
  • Any adjustments needed for personal use (truss rod adjustments, string height, pickup height, etc. ).
  • Parts subject to normal wear and tear, such as strings, drums, frets, capo, gilding and chrome plating of accessories.

3.1 - LED lights

The insertion of LEDs into the keypad and body sometimes occurs irreversibly, i.e., impossible to access them after construction is completed. This results in the impossibility of maintenance or replacement of LEDs that stop working. As much as LED manufacturers guarantee a minimum number of “on – off” cycles, by the very nature of the “pulsing” type of light, we cannot guarantee that an LED, no matter how new it is purchased, will have been on for more or less time and already have in it a good portion of the stated cycles. Therefore, it may happen that some LEDs go out or reduce their intensity without any possibility for us to replace them: for this reason, the warranty cannot apply.

4 - USE AND MAINTENANCE

As a new instrument, this one needs a period of mechanical and tension settling, therefore, it is suggested to periodically check the tuning tightness, the adjustment of the neck curvature through the action on the truss-rod, especially in case of replacing the scaling of the strings or the intonation in general; in this case, also check again the balance of the tremolo bridge, acting on the tension of the rear springs. Every time the strings are changed ( at least 6 months in any case ), clean the ebony and rosewood fingerboard with straw or lemon oil in order to keep it hydrated and avoid possible formation of micro-cracks; it is suggested to keep the instrument clean especially after every long concert session, removing traces of sweat from every surface. Store the instrument in its case in a low-humidity environment, away from heat sources and avoid abrupt temperature changes that could affect the proper adjustment of the neck. Do not expose to direct sunlight for a long time in order to avoid damage to the varnishes and woods. AVOID any mechanical strain, load or action that puts the neck in flexion relative to the body ! AVOID resting the guitar facing downward, loading the headstock ! The headstock is not designed to bear the load of the instrument, therefore, there is a great risk of cracking the headstock ! In general, all parts of the instrument, but especially LV-426 and LV-427 and all shapes that have pronounced spikes, must not be stressed or subjected to impacts against other objects: their “spike” shape obliges them to have a very small wooden section, and from this it follows that such parts are very delicate and prone to breakage. Pay the utmost attention!
